I was a lucky 13-year-old when I accompanied my parents and my dad’s high school social studies class on a three-week trip to China. That was all it took for travel to consume my every daydream – and every spare dollar and minute of vacation time – for the next 20+ years, as I went to college and graduate school, and built a successful career in non-profit communications and fundraising.
I’ve been to 40+ countries – my favorites are Thailand and Croatia – mostly solo, and during graduate school, I spent the summer teaching English as a volunteer with Hands for Help Nepal. Recent travels included two months in Southeast Asia during Fall 2014 and two months in India during Winter 2015 working for The Travel Scientists.
I’m the organizer of the Boston chapter of Meet, Plan, Go!, and I’m very passionate about encouraging people to travel both within the U.S. and overseas. I love giving travel advice and tips, especially related to solo travel, budget travel, long-term travel, female travel, and volunteering abroad. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or opportunities to collaborate.
